MoonriseCodex is built on one idea: astrology is more useful, and more interesting, when it is honest. Every horoscope here is grounded in the real movements of the planets, the actual transits you can look up in any ephemeris, rather than vague reassurance. And when the question is whether any of it is literally true, we answer that directly too.

Who writes this

MoonriseCodex is written by Elara Vance, a writer and longtime astrology researcher. Elara Vance is a pen name. The work matters more than the byline, and the standard is the same either way: nothing invented, and every date checked against the ephemeris before it is published.

Who it is for

This is for the curious reader who wants more than a daily one-liner and does not want to be told what to believe. If you enjoy astrology but lose patience with the parts that promise certainty, this is written for you.

How we decide what to publish

• Real transits only. Every horoscope and transit guide is based on the actual planetary movements for the year, with dates checked against public ephemeris sources before anything is written. We do not invent astrology to fit a story.
• Information a one-line horoscope cannot give you. Historical context (what happened the last time a transit occurred), honest timing, and structured detail you can actually use.
• No false promises. We write in terms of what a transit tends to favor, never what it will make happen. A transit is a lens, not a verdict.
• A straight answer about the science. We do not pretend astrology is proven. See Is Astrology Real? for exactly where we stand.

A note on limits

MoonriseCodex is for entertainment and reflection. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. Astrology offers a lens for thinking about your life, not a guarantee of outcomes, and your full birth chart matters more than your sun sign alone.
